Argolyn Bioscience Inc., a pioneer in Charleston's upstart biotechnology cluster, announced Monday it plans to hire a new CEO and relocate its headquarters from North Charleston to North Carolina.

But while the company will officially adopt an address in the Tar Heel State's famed Research Triangle Park, Argolyn's research and development units, along with all eight current employees, will remain at the North Charleston office location, and in researcher Tom Dix's lab at the Medical University of South Carolina.
