Lisa Benson

Mrs. Lisa Benson rejoined MUSC Foundation for Research Development in February 2007 as Patent Administrator and Executive Assistant to Chip Hood.  With over 7 years of experience in patent and trademark prosecution, Lisa began her career in intellectual property with MacCord Mason PLLC in Wilmington, North Carolina, before moving to Charleston. 

Lisa has also served as Legal Assistant to Chip Hood while working in the Charleston office of Needle & Rosenberg, P.C.  She is currently in the process of obtaining her Paralegal degree from Trident Technical College.

Lisa is originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  Forever a Tar Heel fan, she now resides in West Ashley with her husband Travis and their cat Lucy.
