The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs assists the principal investigator with the submission of proposals and negotiates agreements on behalf of the University or Research Foundation as appropriate.

As a unit of the Division of Finance and Administration, Grants and Contracts Accounting (GCA) is responsible for post-award administration of sponsored grants and contracts awarded to the University.

The Office of Research Development is responsible for helping faculty through the research process.

The Office of Research Integrity includes,

• Institutional Animal Care and Uses Committee (IACUC)
• Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)
• Institutional Review Board for Human Research (IRB)
• Research Integrity Committee Compliance (RIC)

The Division of Laboratory Animal Resources (DLAR) provides care for all laboratory animals at MUSC.
